Sam has been sort of dating Sierra for a while. She goes perfectly with his strong, logical, and organized personality. However, he found trapped with her sister, Willow, and a couple of teens in the wilderness after an accident that could have cost them their lives. Could this adventure change him and his feelings forever?

It’s a very sweet story!

Sam is a great character, and Willow is nice too. This book has an incredible message on forgiveness and taking chances in order to live fully!

However, the thing that touched me the most was how Sam had to let go an option in his life that seemed so right but didn’t bring him joy.

Sometimes, we fall into the trap of doing our “duty” without any delight, and it becomes a burden! Of course, we’re not supposed to do what we feel all the time, but it doesn’t mean our feelings are not important or that we shouldn’t pay attention to them. That was a great lesson!

This crew feels like family already, and I really can’t wait to read Ian and Sierra’s story! I know Gage is next, though, but I’m sure I’ll like it too.

**I received a copy of this book from Fleming H. Revell Company through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own**

+ “Never trust anyone when they’re emotional, Senator. Not even yourself.”

+ “We’re not supposed to save ourselves, but let God do the rescuing.”

+ “He didn’t want to live in darkness anymore. Not when he had so much waiting for him in the light.”

+ “One of these days you’re going to figure out that you need to be rescued just as much as the next guy.”
